About UsThe Central Iowa Water Garden Association is a voluntary organization whose members are committed to expanding their individual and collective knowledge on water gardening and related topics. The Association's only goal is to provide the foundation necessary to achieve the common interest. This organization has two chapters in addition to the parent organization: the Top of Iowa Chapter and the Capital City Chapter. Members may attend and participate in any or all chapter activities. Lily PadCIWGA will meet Saturday, June 6, at 6:00 pm (note time/date change) at Robert and Janet Erb residence, 1343 Quill Ave, Boone, for the annual pig roast. Turn south off Hwy 30 onto Quill where Boone Municipal Airport is to the north. Bring a lawn chair. The Top of Iowa Chapter will meet Monday, June 22, at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Ed and Kathy Schroeder, 2585 Oak Ave, Garner. The program will be presented by Kevin Claxdon, Territory Sales Rep. with Aquascapes. The topic will be Rain Xchange (Harvesting of Rainwater). The Capital City Chapter will meet Wednesday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m., at Jean and Randy Bosworth's home at 9119 Lenhan Drive, Johnston, IA. The club will have an informal BBQ with more details sent to members as time approaches. You may bring a dish to pass and your lawn chairs. More information about our chapters can be found in our monthly newsletter. All CIWGA members (including the chapters) may attend any or all of the above meetings. The pond advertised for sale in the newsletter has been sold. Don't forget to renew your membership! |
